We are so thankful and it is a rare privilege to serve a community such as Hemphill County. As I have always said the “Finest Folks In Texas” call Canadian their home.
We may not be able to be everything needed to everyone, but it won’t be for a lack of putting our full effort forward. We are first line law enforcement serving the City of Canadian and 900 square miles of Hemphill County. All taken in to accord the citizens of Canadian feel relatively safe, but we must keep them reminded that there are no fences that keep bad people out.
Our Deputies volunteer to teach around 80 drug prevention classes per year at the local schools through the DARE, GREAT, CHOICES, FUTURES,KID SAFE and RISKY BUSINESS programs.
We strive to make a family out of our staff and keep them trained to the best standards, as compared to any other agency in the country.
